Underground Pipe Gallery System Solutions

Market background:

An underground comprehensive pipeline corridor refers to a tunnel built underground in the city, which integrates various engineering pipelines such as electricity, communications, gas, heating, water supply and drainage. It is equipped with inspection holes, lifting holes and a monitoring system with gates, and is uniformly planned, designed, constructed and managed. It is an important infrastructure and “lifeline” to ensure the operation of the city.

Harmful gases involved

  • Combustible gas
  • Toxic and harmful gases
  • Non-toxic hazardous gas

Combustible gas: refers to a type of gas with high flammability, such as alkane gas, alcohol gas, olefin gas, etc. The long-term fermentation of urban sewage and sewage in the water pit of the pipeline corridor may produce a certain amount of methane and carbon monoxide, which may become a safety hazard over time. Methane may form an explosive mixed gas and directly threaten the safety of the pipeline corridor itself.

Toxic and harmful gases: refers to hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, carbon monoxide, etc. Urban sewage and sewage in the water pit of the pipe gallery will produce a certain amount of methane and hydrogen sulfide gas after long-term fermentation. Hydrogen sulfide is toxic and may cause poisoning to line patrol personnel. People will be poisoned after inhalation. Generally, people will be in danger of poisoning when the concentration in the air reaches a certain level (PPM).

Non-toxic hazardous gas: Similar to oxygen and nitrogen, but dangerous when exceeding a certain concentration. Urban integrated pipe corridors are built underground, mainly to accommodate urban engineering pipelines. In the case of poor ventilation or long-term semi-enclosed conditions, the oxygen content is affected by the environment and is likely to be thinner than in the atmosphere. An oxygen-deficient environment is more dangerous for inspectors, and accidents may occur if they are not careful.

Introduction to the Plan

    Principles and Processes

The utility corridor is mainly divided into three compartments: gas cabinet, sewage cabinet and comprehensive cabinet. Each compartment has its unique function and importance. However, safety is always the primary consideration. Various gases in the utility corridor, such as methane, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, etc., may cause safety accidents once the concentration exceeds the standard. Therefore, real-time monitoring of gas concentration is particularly important.

    Solution

According to the needs of the project, a regional gas alarm monitoring system with the monitoring center as the main control center and each area forming its own system is established, and the monitoring data is centrally managed and monitored. The dynamic information of gas leakage in each area can be grasped in time, so that the safety management personnel can fully understand the dynamics of gas leakage in each area in time and take corresponding measures in time to achieve the purpose of controlling the gas concentration in the on-site environment within a safe range.
